This project was all about crafting a true escape. With homes in both Florida and New York, our clients came to us wanting a cottage that felt completely different, a modern retreat that still honoured the spirit and soul of cottage life. They were seeking something quieter and more grounded. A sanctuary from the high energy of the city and the heat and chaos of Florida. What we created is a true unicorn. Built just 8 feet from the shoreline on the footprint of the original cottage, this newly constructed steel-framed home features concrete floors and custom furnishings that blurs the line between indoor comfort and the rugged natural surroundings of Salerno Lake. Every detail was thoughtfully curated with quality and uniqueness in mind. Signature custom pieces from our in-house manufacturing line, Burled, elevate the space. 9-foot white oak interior doors, beam cladding, a custom console with fish pulls, pantry, and a beautiful dining table, all handcrafted in-house. This is not just a cottage, it’s a masterfully designed escape, tailored to offer peace, beauty, and elevated living in nature.
