The pandemic was not easy on anyone but restaurant owners faced constant changes and unknowns. The road to recovery has been a bumpy one.
After a brutal slump and many closures, countrywide sales were nearly back to
pre- pandemic levels last summer, and we want to provide a positive business changing opportunity to a deserving restaurant located in Haliburton County.
Hali's Restaurant Makeover is a contest that will provide a local restaurant owner with a redesign and transformation of their interior dining area - valued at $25,000!

We're excited to announce that the winner of Hali's Restaurant Makeover is 

The Mill Pond Restaurant

We received almost 9000 votes from the community!
Congratulations to Mill Pond and also to the other two restaurants 
Maple Ave Tap & Grill, and Truss Foodworks for their participation

Voting is completely up to the community and ACM and their partners will not have an influence in picking the winner from the last three finalists.



  • The 3 finalists have been selected and public voting will be open for two weeks.
  • Finalists are encouraged to promote themselves and share the campaign to increase their chances of winning. This includes posting to their social media platforms, sharing campaign links, using local promotion, reaching out to their friends and family, etc.
  • The voting period will be open for two weeks from when the finalists are announced.
  • The winner will be announced March 20th.
  • This contest is open to restaurants located in Haliburton County.
  • The entry fee for this contest is free and is at no cost to the business owner.
  • The makeover consists of redoing the dining area of the restaurant. This does not include the kitchen, outdoor area, or restrooms.
  • Finalists must agree toand be able to cover any unforeseen costs not related to the makeoverie compromised electrical.
  • After a winner is selected, the design of the renovation will commence. ACM will collaborate with the restaurant owner, develop a design, and connect with campaign partners for the sourcing and execution of the makeover. Details and a timeline for this phase of the campaign will be created with the selected restaurant and our partners.
